Carpet Lice Bites

Bed bugs actually create red itchy welts on the skin from biting you while the carpet beetle doesn t bite at all but causes a similar red itchy welt due to an allergic reaction from the prickly little hairs on the carpet beetle larvae pictured center. If you notice bed bug like red spots and discover that you have carpet beetles but not bed bugs then they may be the cause. Head lice adult lice are difficult to spot but you ll usually see their eggs in your hair. It s important to remove carpet mites as soon as you notice them.
